Iowa State Fair

Leaving at 5PM for the Iowa State Fair this week-end. Company HQ is down there and they have every employee (700+) wearing the same T-shirt ... so the fair is flooded with Iowa Telecom shirts. Riding with two other.

Jet Black asphalt truck sprays the CanMan @!#$%^&

CanMan travels today included passing a "Jet Black" truck and getting sprayed with tar! Pulled off at the next exit and wiped it down with the glass cleaner I carry for my helmet visor. It came of easy enough ... but it looks like permanent damage to the new cool Spyder First Owners jacket . . . road warrior status for the jacket I guess.

Here Begins the Adventures of CanMan . . .

I thought I would try to get blog-crazy about my new Can-Am Spyder Roadster . . . it just deserves a blog . . . it's that kind of machine.

So here is a catch up to this point in time (June 22):
I drove it off the dealer lot on June 2nd, 2009 with a red Can-Am SE5 Spyder Roadster. Thanks to Pete J. for the drop off. Travis Anderson of Honda House in St. Cloud, MN provided top notch sales support to make it all happen a day quicker than it "should have" . . . because Tuesday was a perfect 72 and sunny that's why.

Driving home the first night 2 people wanted to chat while sitting at stop lights . . . CanMan is a head turner for sure!

Got signed up at the Can-AM site and at SpyderLovers.com with the screen name of CanMan

I have been driving it to/from work wx permitting. I was parking up front but way too many peaple were stopping in to inspect CanMan and causing a problem in the parking lot. So now I park in the back.

Waisting no time on day 2 . . . Took a road trip to Mankato as my first multiple hour run on the 3rd

The 14th . . . went with Tom and the boys on a real road trip to Pepin, WI and stopped at Walkers place in Hastings on the way back up to the cities same day.

CanMan started to hang-up and get stuck in one gear . . . June 16th the dealer put in new software while doing routine maintenance at the 1200 mile mark. Working fine ever since.

Today (22nd) I Took CanMan today to two business meetings . . . 96F made it hard to wear leathers (do you think!)

Bringing the millage total to date to over 1,500 .... in less than 3 weeks ... not bad says CanMan.

I now plan on 5 - 20 minutes longer to fuel-up ... folks just want to know about CanMan.

Started the blog today (June 22) and want post a picture-of-the-day as CanMan makes friends and sees places of interest.
